Humanity was an experiment in unique identity, governance and UBI by Marble.org, launched on Ethereum mainnet in May 2019. A DAO voted applicants into an on-chain registry of unique humans (a token curated registry); a sample UBI contract let registered humans claim 1 Dai per month from a 2,500 Dai pool.

Social identity

- Token curated registry: applicants stake a fee, voters approve or reject
- Recommended proof: a Twitter post containing the applicant's Ethereum address
- Voters could also use social-graph analysis or SybilRank
- Two-day vote plus two-day veto period
- isHuman() check usable by any smart contract

Social mining

- UBI contract funded with 2,500 Dai; registered humans could claim 1 Dai per month until it ran out
- The first 10,000 registered humans earned HUM voting tokens

Token economics

- 100M HUM voting tokens: 75% to the first 10,000 humans, 5% dripped into Uniswap (1 per block, ~2 years), 20% held by the Marble team
- UBI itself paid in Dai (stable)
